Blackhawks Press Release

Blackhawks training camp has came to an end with many players becoming stronger and much better players. GM Goerz was mainly focused on making one player a lot better and it was youngster Jordan Eberle who looks very nice now. Where will he play??
9 Jordan Eberle 0 L C 7 6 3 5 9 5 8 8 9 5 7 72. With stats like that could he possibly make 2nd line and beat out Eric Staal or Nokelainen. After pre-season GM Goerz will have to make a decision on where his centers will be playing. Vladmir Sobotka focused more on his speed and skating and looks much nicer now. We will see how the team plays this season after coming out of one of the toughest training camps ever since GM Goerz has taken over this team.

The one big question surrounding the blackhawks is which center is going to be traded when the season starts. Eric Staal or Jordan Eberle.

Blackhawks PR

The Blackhawks have been very quiet so far this off-season and with only a few moves needed they might start picking up the action in Hawkville. In the waiver draft we picked up a nice farm center and a nice pro goaltender while we lost Pro C Zajac and farm lw kulemin we thought in the end we came out on top. We gained 2 top notch players and lost an ok one and a weaker farm player. We will see how the team does with out the players and how the new players play with the new roster. The blackhawks are willing to move all 7 tcs this season and picks and also a few players in return the blackhawks are looking for picks/pro rw/and maybe a few other positions later on depending on what i can pull off this season. Thats all.

The aquisition of Timonen saw Claude Giroux sent to Ottawa - We thought it was a decent value trade as last years defense didn't create enough offense from the back end and seeing that Giroux would be playing on the third line - even though Giroux has a long career ahead of him Timonen signed a lengthy contract with our team - good through 2013 which translates to 6 seasons in the PHL.

We also have Grant Lewis and waiver acquistions Luke Schenn, who will have a long career in the PHL, and Clayton Stoner:

The Red Wings improved our offense from the back end alot from last season and should be able to create alot more offense. Although our defensive side of things need a little work we are pretty happy with the team so far.

The Red Wings will have a busy free agent period as we have to sign a third line on the wings and maybe one more defenseman and some scrubs to fill out the roster.

Blues Continue to Rebuild

ST.LOUIS - The Blues have been quietly rebuilding throughout the preseason considering they haven't played hockey for months. The Blues continue to build on their weak RW and D. Last year they let in the most goals and plan to change that this year as well as score the fewest goals in the league.

This year will see a promotion of Andrew Alberts from the Medicine Hat Tigers. Tim Gleason was also picked up from the Buffalo Sabres via the waiver draft and recently acquired Dmitry Kosmachev from the Toronto Maple Leafs will join Rod Langway, Brent Seabrook and Jay Bouwmeester from last year. Also goaltender Niklas Backstrom will be the No.1 goalie after a season with the Tigers. Newly drafted David Larsson will be manning the pipes on the farm for the upcoming season.

There will be a few more new faces being brought in via free agency once it opens up. The Blues do not plan to repeat as bottom dwellers for a 2nd season in a row.

GM Livingston is expecting to get some phone calls and emails regarding Klepis, as he was slated to be the team's first line pivot this season, but may find himself wearing a different uniform for PHL10.

In the event Livingston decides to 'stand pat' with the current line-up, this will certainly be the deepest group of Centers the Rockies have had since Livingston took over the team.

Rockies Shopping Richards?

Rumors out of the Mile High City are claiming GM Justin Livingston has been in discussion today, with not 1, but 2 PHL GMs about potentially moving RW Mike Richards. GM Livingston and Richards made headline news last off-season, when Richards signed the largest FA contract in the history of the PHL.

Livingston is said to be looking to a substantial package in return, inclusing good PRO players and draft picks.

Anything further will be reported here as soon as it is substantiated.

Hello everyone. Well here is a generic Trade Block and it isn't too fancy that's for sure. The Whalers have decided to come up with a game plan (as flawed as it may seem to some) that we think will work. So here we go.

1. Detroit Red Wings

The Wings have two picks in the top 8, and should be poised to make a run for a playoff spot once again in the top heavy Norris. The UNDISPUTED number one player available is....

The Seals need help everywhere. I suspect they will take the best player available, and to be honest this is not as clear cut as Zabote, it will be a Center man

4. New York Rangers

The Rangers in my opinion are a team that will make a move this year. The rebuild is coming close to being complete, and the high picks are starting to come to fruition. Brian Boyle was a beast last year, and was a steal last year.

I think this is the pick here. To be honest I think the Rangers would be better served dealing this pick to a DESPERATE team for some Wing help. If they keep Deschamps, they get a very nice prospect that gives them a fantastic 1-2 punch with Boyle.

5. New York Islanders

The Isle in the top FIVE??? I definitely was surprised by this teams lack of success last year. Dexter will likely take the best player available, that's not a Center man Parise, Nichol, and Kessel are set in stone with the big club.

Basically that is a pick'em. I think a trade would bring more value to the Isle here, but if they keep the pick, a Gromov will likely be taken.

6. Ottawa Senators via Columbus Blue Jackets

The Sens will load up for a move to the TOUGHEST division in the PHL. The Sens will be in tough to make the playoffs this year, but knowing the Savy Chrispy “Crunch” Sage, he has a plan!

Granlund will add some punch to the lineup. He is a pass first winger, that players a VERY complete game. Outside of Zabote, Granlund is the most complete player in this draft. One good year, and Granlund is a bonafide STUD.

7. Washington Capitals

The Caps are going through another management shuffle. Rumors out of the Capital of the Universe are that a certain “TOP REPORTER” in the PHL could be in line for a shot at the GM job there.

The Caps can score, the problem is so can everyone that plays them. Neither Gromov is a real physical type of defender, but both would be top three on this teams back end.

8. Detroit Red Wings

So now that the Wings are STACKED up the middle, what will Nick do here??? I think loading the farm is a great idea, but there is still a few wingers out there that could help a playoff run....

Volkov is another pass first winger in this draft(Yeah, there is a PILE). He will play in the wings top six, and paired with one of their stud Center men, could PILE up on the helpers this year!

9. Winnipeg Jets

Well, I think the Jets have fourteen retirees??? Kidding, this team made a believer out of me last playoffs. They play an in your face game, that plays well in a best of seven.

Bodrov fits the Jets mold....he likes to HAMMER people if the opportunity is there. Bodrov was an assist machine in the PPHL the last two years, and paired with a finisher could be a sleeper for the ROY.

10. Anaheim Ducks

Chugger is a mystery. He is a true wild card that could end up picking a guy from off the radar. The Ducks need help....SERIOUS help.

Who you ask??? Pestunov is a guy that will finish checks, will dig pucks, and can play in a top six. Asimov is another potential guy if Chugger realizes he is a couple years away form a run.

This years draft is a true crap shoot after the top four. I suspect there will be a PILE of moves pre-draft. I am hearing there are at least five teams looking to move up in this years draft....there's a shocker eh???

Well hello to everyone and congrats to those that deserve it.

Let me be the first to throw it down by saying the Whalers are desperate to move up in the entry draft and would also like multiple picks, so this of course means everything is up for swap and we will listen to all comers.

Come on people don't be shy and don't be rediculous. When I said desperate I didn't mean stupid. If you think I am a bad GM and am just here to ruin this wonderful team, then step up buttercup. Don't be afraid to have me make a "mistake" or give you a "gem of a deal". If the Whalers have nothing that interests you then stay quiet like you have all season (including the playoffs) but if something peaks your interest and you satisfy my needs, BRING IT ON!!

I know trades can't be done yet but that doesn't mean we can't have discussions, RIGHT!

Come on people lets get talking or all you all still stunned at watching the Leafs win yet again(like there was any real doubt, of course I had my doubts). All of you not in the Adams (BEST DIV EVER!!) come and vanquish my team so you at least have a chance to beat the Leafs next year. I plan on gunning for them, yeah I threw that down.
