Blues Decide to Walk

ST.LOUIS - So the Blues decided not to stand pat after seeing there was nothing much out there for decent available farm defensemen and who knows what the FA holds. So a call was made to the Boston Bruins to inquire about defensemen Paul Martin. The Bruins wanted to bolster their pro defense which the Blues had an abundance of so a deal was struck. Unofficial, the Blues will be bidding farewell to D Tim Gleason and farm prospect RW David Kveton. In return the Blues will shore up their farm with 2 top end talents in D Paul Martin and RW Josh Birkholz.

"We like what we got in return. Paul Martin is a top defensemen and will replace the retired Kim Johnsson. With Josh, we believe we now have 3 solid forward lines." said farm coach Todd Nelson.

Kim Johnsson won't be easy to replace as he led the PMHL defense in scoring and was top 10 for all players in the league. As for D Tim Gleason, it was a numbers game with a bunch of young prospects looking to take the next big step, he became expendable.

P.S. - Also if anyone is interested I have about 2-3 PHL 11 TC's. Cost as it's been every season lately is 2 TC's the following year for 1 TC this year.
