Aces Dominate Pre-Season

With a 6-1-1 record, the Aces are looking good through the pre-season of PMHL10. Rockies GM Justin Livingston expected as much heading into this season.

"I think we've done a great job in building a strong development program with the Alaska Aces, now its time for that to start to flow over to the parent club here in Denver."

The Aces are looking very strong down the middle, with perhaps the deepest group of centermen in the entire PMHL. C Zach Boychuk really stood out in the pre-season, putting up 11 points in the 8 games. C David Krejci and C Jiri Hudler also had strong showings.

The team's only weakness is on RW where there isn't a lot of talent.

"Yes, we're a bit thin on RW down there, but its by design. RW happens to be our strongest and deepest postition with the Rockies, so we're not in need of any help from the Farm in that regard. With Richards, Bourret, Stevenson and Burns, we're pretty well set on the right side," assured Livingston.

Aces coach Bob Probert knows the #1 priority is to get his players ready to join the Rockies in the PHL, though don't for a second think he doesn't have his eyes on another significant prize.

"The best thing we can do down here is to create winners. The best way to create winners, is to win! Our goal is to win the PMHL10 championship, no question."

It would appear the Alaska Aces are one of the favorites to do just that.
