to get some immediate help on their PRO roster, holding
the 8th and 18th overall picks. In years past, the GM's
game plan has been to continuously use the draft to keep
their FARM system strong and developing talent.
With the FARM now sufficiently filled with quality,
long-term assets, Livingston decided to use this past
draft to get some immediate PRO level talent. Now 4 games
into the preseason, his decisions are looking very sound.
The Rockies' are 3-1 in their preseason games, and they're
being led by their 2, 1st round picks.

Coach Joey Kocur suggested in a press conference yesterday
that the 2 are going to start seeing more ice-time throughout
the rest of the preseason and even potentially into the start
of the regular season.
